Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 2026

Introduction

Fintech Roadmap LLC ("Fintech Roadmap," "we," "us," or "our") operates a product discovery and validation platform for data infrastructure. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you interact with our platform, including when you submit challenges, suggest product ideas, or request early access through our intake system.

By using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described here, please do not use the platform.

Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you submit a form through our platform, we collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, professional role, company size, and industry. This information is collected across all three of our intake flows: Solve a Data Problem, Suggest a Product Idea, and Request Early Access.

Submission Data

Depending on the intake form you complete, we collect structured responses related to your submission. This may include descriptions of data challenges, pain severity scores, urgency indicators, willingness-to-pay signals, beta interest preferences, product feature suggestions, and use case descriptions. This data is stored as structured metadata associated with your submission record.

Uploaded Files

Our Solve a Data Problem form allows you to upload sample files to help us understand your challenge. Accepted file types include CSV, Excel (.xlsx, .xls), JSON, and PDF. Uploaded files are stored securely in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 with server-side encryption. File references are linked to your submission record in our database.

Automatically Collected Data

When you interact with our platform, we automatically collect certain technical information as part of standard server operations. This includes your IP address (used for rate limiting and abuse prevention), browser user-agent string (transmitted via standard HTTP headers), and timestamps recording when submissions are created or updated.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Evaluate submissions. We review your submission data to understand the data challenges, product ideas, or access requests you have shared with us.

Score and prioritize challenges. We use an internal scoring system to assess and rank submissions based on factors such as pain severity, urgency, and alignment with our product development priorities. Scores are used internally only and are not shared with submitters.

Communicate about your submission. We may contact you at the email address you provided to follow up on your submission, request clarification, or notify you about relevant product developments.

Improve the platform. We use aggregated and anonymized submission data to identify patterns, inform product development decisions, and improve the overall platform experience.

Internal analytics. We analyze submission trends, industry distribution, and challenge categories to guide our product roadmap and business strategy.

Data Storage and Security

We take the security of your information seriously and implement appropriate technical measures to protect it.

Database. Submission data and personal information are stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS. The database is encrypted at rest and access is restricted to authorized personnel.

File storage. Uploaded files are stored in AWS S3 with server-side encryption enabled. Access to stored files is controlled through time-limited pre-signed URLs and restricted to authorized internal use.

Data in transit. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS).

Access control. Administrative access to submission data is restricted to authorized personnel through authentication controls. We limit access to the minimum necessary for platform operations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

Service providers. We use AWS for infrastructure services including database hosting, file storage, and application hosting. These providers process data on our behalf and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Legal requirements. We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

Business transfers. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change via the contact information we have on file or by posting a notice on the platform.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information and submission data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including product evaluation, internal analytics, and business operations. If you wish to request deletion of your data, please contact us using the information provided below. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will remove your personal information and associated submission data within a reasonable timeframe, unless we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access. You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

Correction. You may request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal information.

Deletion. You may request that we delete your personal information and submission data, including any uploaded files.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at [email protected]. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

Cookies and Tracking

Our platform does not use cookies, third-party analytics trackers, or advertising pixels. We do not engage in cross-site tracking or behavioral profiling. The only data we collect automatically is limited to standard server-side information (IP address, user-agent, and timestamps) as described in the "Automatically Collected Data" section above.

Children's Privacy

Our platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and post the revised policy on the platform. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
